Steamed Turnips Recipe
Ingredients
| 12 round white turnips | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 | |
| Melted butter | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Scrub 12 small round white turnips (if they are young it is not necessary to peel them), grate them in strips.
Sprinkle them with juice of 1 lemon.
Mix well.
Store in a plastic bag in refrigerator.
To serve, sprinkle them with salt and pepper.
Put them in a steamer over boiling water and cook over low heat until tender—half an hour to an hour will be enough.
Keep them hot, and serve with melted butter poured over them.
