Steamed Date Nut Pudding Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 1 1/4 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup each chopped walnuts and dates | ||
| Raisins | 1/2 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Hot water | 3/4 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Molasses | 1/2 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon, melted | |
Directions
In medium bowl, combine flour, walnuts, dates, raisins, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
Stir in water, molasses, egg and butter.
Pour batter into a greased 10 cup fluted tube dish or 6 cup fluted glass mold.
Cover completely with plastic wrap.
Cook at MEDIUM 8 to 10 minutes, or until pudding is set.
Release plastic wrap.
Let stand, covered, 10 minutes.
Invert onto serving platter; serve warm or cover until cool.
