Steamed Corned Beef Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 (3-to 4-pound) corned beef round or brisket | ||
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 , thinly sliced | |
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| 8 whole ginger cloves | ||
Directions
Place beef, fat side up, in a 3-quart casserole.
Add water, onion, bay leaf, and cloves.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave at HIGH 30 to 35 minutes.
Turn beef over and baste with the juice.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave at MEDIUM 30 minutes.
Turn beef over, baste with juice, and cover again.
Microwave at MEDIUM 30 to 35 minutes or until the beef is tender, when pierced with a meat fork.
