Steak With Mushroom Stuffing Recipe
The steak with mushroom is a beef recipe prepared with brandy and mushrooms. A simple recipe, you can give this a try when cooking for friends or family. Delicious and cooked with rich ingredients, the steak with mushroom stuffing is flavored with nutmeg and seasoned with salt and pepper.
Ingredients
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 shallots, finely chopped
2 tablespoons Beef Stock
1/2 pound mushrooms, cleaned
and chopped 1 tablespoon brandy
3 grinds fresh or 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
2 1/2 pounds lean beef sirloin steak, boneless
Snipped parsley
Directions
Simmer onion and shallots in stock until tender (about 5 minutes).
Mix onion, shallots, mushrooms, brandy, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
Trim excess fat from steak.
Cut pocket in steak, cutting to, but not through opposite side and leaving 1 inch intact on each end.
Fill pocket loosely with onion mixture; skewer opening with wooden picks.
Broil steak 3 inches from heat, 8 minutes on each side for medium rare, 10 minutes on each side for medium.
Remove wooden picks.
Sprinkle steak with parsley.
Slice and serve.
