Recipe Story

An easy way to spice up an otherwise "average" steak.

Ingredients

1 2-pound steak

3 or 4 jalapeno peppers

1 Tablespoon salt

¼ cup lime juice

½ cup olive oil

4 garlic cloves

½ Tablespoon ground black pepper

1 Tablespoon dried oregano

2 teaspoons meat seasoning

Directions

Combine all ingredients, except the steak, in a blender and puree. Pour the mixture over the steak in a shallow dish and rub it into the meat. Marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

Preheat grill to medium heat.

Remove steak from container and grill to desired doneness, turning once. Cut into thin slices across the grain and serve. (You can also prepare this dish before hand and serve cold with Dijon mustard as sandwiches.)

Serves 6 – 8.
