Stewing beef - 1 1/2 lb, diced
 
Kidney - 1 6-oz, sliced
 
Mushrooms - 1/2 lb, sliced
 
Onion - 1 cup, chopped
 
Parsley - ΒΌ cup, minced
 
Bay leaf - 1/2, crumbled
 
Salt - 1 tsp
 
Butter - 1 cup
 
Self-rising flour - 3 cup, sifted
 
Milk - 1 cup

Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven.

MAKING
2. Place beef, kidney, mushrooms, onion, parsley, bay leaf and salt in baking dish; add 2 cups water.
3. Cut butter into flour until of cornmeal consistency. Add milk; mix to form soft dough. Roll dough to about 1/8-inch thickness on floured surface.
4. Place on top of beef mixture, sealing edges. Slash dough several times. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

SERVING
5. Serve hot
