1/2 Cup (125 ml) melted butter
 
4 1 1/2 inch (4 cm) thick T-bone steaks
 
1 Cup (250 ml) fresh mushrooms, sliced
 
1/4 Cup (60 ml) steak sauce
 
Salt and pepper

Directions

–  Preheat the broiler at least 10 minutes before cooking time.
–  In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
–  Meanwhile, place steaks on broiling pan and coat with one-third melted butter.
–  Broil steaks at least 4 inches (10 cm) from the grill.
–  Turn steaks after 5 minutes, coat with another third melted butter and broil 5 minutes longer.
–  Remove steaks and coat with last third melted butter.
–  Spread sliced mushrooms over steaks, add the steak sauce and season with salt and pepper.
–  Broil basted steaks and mushrooms 3 minutes longer for medium-cooked meat.
