Easy Steak Tartare Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 pound sirloin steak, well trimmed | ||
| Egg yolk | 1 , beaten | |
| Hot mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Coarse salt | 1 To taste | |
| Ground pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Dash of Worcestershire sauce | ||
| Hot pepper sauce | 1 Dash | |
| Sour cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onion (optional) | ||
| Rye bread slices | ||
Directions
Grind meat twice and mix with yolk.
Blend mustard to a paste with water; add seasonings.
Mix with meat; taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
Shape meat into mound on chilled plate.
Cover with a layer of sour cream and top with caviar.
Place chopped onion and rye bread on side of chilled plate and serve.
