Ingredients

 3 cups Garlic String Beans
 10-12 ounces steak—porterhouse, filet mignon, flank, or whatever cut you prefer
 Safflower oil2 Teaspoon
 1 small red or white onion, sliced
 4 cups butter lettuce, washed, dried, and broken into bite-size pieces
 2 cups spinach, stems removed
 3 large mushrooms, sliced or cut into matchsticks

Directions

GETTING READY 1) Slice the onion. 2) Wash the lettuce thoroughly, dry the leaves and break them into bite-size pieces. 3) Remove the stems from the spinach. 4) Cut the mushrooms either in slices or in matchstick shape. 5) Prepare the garlic string beans according to the recipe. 6) Broil the steak, cut it diagonally into thin strips and keep aside. MAKING 7) In a small skillet, heat the oil. 8) Saute the onion until crispy and tender. FINALIZING 9) In a large bowl, place spinach along with lettuce. 10) Add in the bowl, onion with string beans, sliced mushrooms and steak. SERVING 11) Serve the salad with a prepared Dijon dressing.
