 1 1/2 to 2 pounds beef round steak, cut in serving-size pieces
 Shortening2 Tablespoon
 Condensed cream of mushroom soup1 10 1/2 Ounce
 Water1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 3 1/2-ounce jar cocktail onions
 Snipped parsley1 Tablespoon

Directions

In skillet, brown meat slowly on both sides in hot shortening.
Drain off excess fat.
Combine soup, water, and onions with liquid; pour over meat.
Simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours or till tender.
Sprinkle with parsley.
