Stays Crispy Slaw Recipe
Ingredients
| Shredded cabbage | 1 Large, grated | |
| 1 large bell pepper, chopped fine | ||
| 1 cup celery, chopped fine | ||
| Vinegar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Turmeric | 1 Teaspoon | |
| White mustard seed | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Grate your cabbage and combine in large bowl with bell pepper and celery.
In a saucepan mix the vinegar, sugar, turmeric, mustard seed, salt and pepper and bring to boil stirring frequently.
Pour over the cabbage and mix until everything is totally moistened.
Cover and place in refrigerator until cool and crisp.
Mix occasionally while chilling to keep entire mixture moistened with dressing.
Stays crisp indefinitely.
