Starving Artists Macaroni Recipe
Ingredients
| Margarine | 1 /4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Light cream | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), scalded | |
| 1 cup soft wholewheat bread crumbs | ||
| Green pepper | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Onion | 1 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Dry mustard | 1 /2 Teaspoon | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 /2 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, minced | |
| Pimiento | 1 Tablespoon, minced | |
| 1 cup cooked macaroni | ||
| Eggs | 3 Large, beaten | |
Directions
Melt margarine in a skillet and stir in scalded cream, bread crumbs, green pepper, and grated onion.
Dissolve mustard in 1 Tbsp water and add to skillet.
Stir in Cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, parsley, pimiento, and macaroni.
Cook until lukewarm.
Add beaten eggs and blend well.
Pour mixture into a greased casserole.
Place casserole in a pan of hot water and bake in a 375 degree oven for 45 minutes 6r until done.
