Star Soup Recipe
Starsoup is a delicious and simple soup that your family will love. This tasty dish is often served at weekends at my place. Try this simple Starsoup recipe for yourself!
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine 15 mL
1/2 c. Cream of Wheat 125 mL
1 c. cold water 250 mL
5 c. boiling water 1.25 L
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix 1 pkg.
1 large carrot
Directions
Melt the butter or margarine in a large saucepan and stir in the Cream of Wheat cereal.
Stir and cook until the Cream of Wheat is golden in colour-approximately 2-3 minutes.
Add cold water, stirring constantly; add the boiling water and onion soup mix.
Bring the mixture to a boil.
Slice the carrot and cut into star shapes; add the carrot to the soup and reduce the heat.
Simmer for a further 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until all the carrot pieces float to the top.
Serve at once.
