Star Jewels Recipe
I got to try out this star jewels at my friend's place. My God, it was simply mind blowing! It is a great dessert. I thought of simply yummy, what are the words that come to your mind instantly on tasting this star jewels recipe?
Ingredients
Heirloom Sugar Cookies
1/3 cup mint jelly
Directions
1. Prepare and chill heirloom sugar cookies through Step 3.
2. Roll ou!t dough, a quarter at a time, to a 1/8-inch thickness on a lightly floured pastry cloth or board. Cut into stars with a floured 3-inch star cutter; cut out centers of half the stars with a 1 1/2 inch star cutter. (Bake little stars separately, as in our picture, or reroll along with trimmings.)
3. Place whole stars on greased cookie sheets; top with a cutout star; press edges together lightly with thumb to seal.
4. Bake in hot oven (400°) 10 minutes, or until golden. Remove to wire racks with spatula to cool.
5. Melt mint jelly in small saucepan; drop by half teaspoonfuls into star centers of cookies.
