Ingredients
| 1 pound bulk sausage | ||
| 1 cup regular uncooked rice | ||
| 1 bell pepper, chopped fine | ||
| Water | 4 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 , chopped | |
| Slivered almonds | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Celery | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Chopped parsley | ||
| 1 package instant chicken noodle soup | ||
Directions
Cook sausage in skillet, stirring through and cutting up to break into small bits.
Drain off excess grease.
Remove sausage.
Saute onion, pepper and celery.
Mix the soup in water.
Add rice and cook for seven minutes.
Mix all ingredients together and put in a large baking dish; sprinkle almonds on top.
Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
Remove from oven and sprinkle a border of chopped parsley around the edge just before serving.
