2 Sweet Dumplings or Golden Nugget Squash
 
2 tbs (30 ml) butter or margarine
 
2 large Jonathan or Delicious apples, cored and chopped
 
1 Leek, sliced, white part only
 
2 tbs (30 1) white or rose wine
 
1/4 tsp (1 ml) ground cinnamon pinch ground black pepper pinch ground allspice

Directions

Halve each squash; cook halves, covered in a small amount of boiling water for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet melt butter.
Add apples and leek slices and saute for 5 minutes.
Add wine and seasonings, cook 3 minutes more.
Reserving shells, scoop out squash and mash; blend with apple mixture in skillet.
