Square Burgers Recipe
Ingredients
| Instant minced onion | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Evaporated milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground chuck | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| 1 slightly beaten egg | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Monosodium glutamate | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| White bread slice | 4 , buttered | |
| 1 3 1/2-ounce can onion rings or 1 4-ounce package frozen | ||
Directions
Soak onion in evaporated milk for 5 minutes; lightly mix with meat, egg, and seasonings.
Place meat mixture on large sheet of waxed paper; lightly pat into a 9-inch square.
Cut meat in 4 squares.
With scissors, cut through waxed paper between burgers.
Place, meat side down, on broiler rack; peel off waxed paper.
Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 5 minutes; turn and broil 3 to 4 minutes longer or till of desired doneness.
Meanwhile, heat onion rings according to the label directions.
Place each burger on a slice of toast; top with onion rings.
Pass catsup and mustard.
