Ingredients

 
1 box chicken stock
 
1 qt half n half
 
4 to 5 lbs potatoes quartered
 
1/2 head of cabbage
 
1medium onion chopped
 
8 cloves of garlic minced
 
salt/ pepper to taste
 
1 stick of butter
 
2 cups of milk

Directions

peel and quarter potatoes,
place in a large stock pot, rinse and drain off remaining water
add the onions, cabbage, and garlic
salt and pepper
pour the box of chicken broth into the pot
pour the half and half into the pot
pour the milk into the pot
Turn heat to high and bring to a boil
once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer
add the stick of butter
cover and continue simmering, stirring often for 1 hour or until cabbage and potatoes are tender
serve with cornbread or sourdough rolls
