Spritsar Recipe
Simply yummy!!!! These two words come to the mind instantly when you taste this Spritsar. An assortment of fabulous flavors, the Spritsar recipe is one of those European dishes you simply shouldn't miss. If it is an impressive Dessert that you require, then this dish is the answer. I am sure both of us will be in agreement that this Spritsar is very delectable.
Ingredients
1 pound butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons grated orange rind
4 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
Red and green food coloring (optional)
Colored sugars, tiny multicolored candies, silver dragees and candied fruit
Directions
Cream the butter.
Add the sugar gradually and cream until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and egg yolks, vanilla and orange rind.
Gradually blend in the flour to make a soft dough.
Force the dough through a cookie press onto an un-greased cookie sheet, forming into desired shapes.
Decorate with the colored sugars, candies, dragees, or can died fruit.
Bake in a 350° oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until set, the edges just barely turning color.
