Spring Time Peas Recipe
This springtime peas recipe is a delicious keeper and always a plus in my cookbook! No other ingredient will make springtime peas taste so awesome than vegetable. Ingredients
3 to 6 lettuce leaves
2 cups shelled peas or 1 10-ounce package frozen peas
1/4. cup sliced green onion with tops
1 teaspoon sugar
Dash dried thyme, crushed
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Directions
Moisten lettuce leaves, leaving a few drops of water clinging.
Line bottom of a 10-inch skillet with lettuce leaves.
Top with fresh or frozen peas and green onion.
Sprinkle with sugar, thyme, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper.
Cover tightly and cook over low heat till peas are tender, 18 to 20 minutes.
Remove lettuce.
Drain peas well; dot with butter or margarine.
