Directions
1. In a pot on medium high, add the split green peas, ham, onion, garlic, water and salt. Mix well and let this cook for 2 hours on low to medium heat.
2. Stir in between to avoid any lumps.
SERVING
3. Serve this soup garnished with thyme or chives.
