Split Pea Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Split peas | 1 pound | |
| Ham hocks | 1/4 pound | |
| Onion | 1 Large, chopped | |
| Celery | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), chopped | |
| Salt | 1 To taste | |
| Pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Water | 6 Pint |
Directions
MAKING
1) In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté onion, garlic and celery until soft.
2) Stir in the ham hocks, peas and water.
3) Lower the heat and cook for 2 hours.
4) Check, if too dry add some more water.
SERVING
5) Serve hot garnished with chopped parsley if needed.
