|Chicken broth||4 Cup (64 tbs), defatted|
|Dried split peas||1 Cup (16 tbs), sorted and rinsed|
|Chopped carrots||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped onions||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Turkey ham||2 Ounce, finely chopped|
|Dried marjoram||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Liquid smoke seasoning||1⁄8 Teaspoon|

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Add the carrots, onions, celery, turkey ham, marjoram, liquid smoke and bay leaf.
Return to a boil, then reduce the heat.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes to blend the flavors.
Remove and discard the bay leaf before serving.
