Split Pea And Ham Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Ham bone | 1/2 | |
| Boiling water | 1 Quart | |
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| Celery salt | 1/8 Tablespoon | |
| Green peas | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Canned tomatoes | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
Use bone from which almost all meat has been removed; crack bone; put into soup kettle; add remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer 1-1-1/2 hours or until peas are mushy.
Remove bone, strain soup pressing peas through sieve.
Reheat to boiling.
Serves 5.
