Place container over a pan of simmering water and stir chocolate mixture just until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth about 10 minutes.
Stir in liqueur.
Transfer chocolate mixture to a chafing dish or fondue pot and set over low heat.
If using bananas or pears, brush with lemon juice to prevent darkening.
Arrange fruit in separate groups on a platter alongside fondue.
Offer skewers for dipping fruit into chocolate.
