Spinach Soup With Beef Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 1/2 pounds lean beef with bones
 
6 cups water
 
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
 
6 medium potatoes, cubed
 
3 onions, sliced
 
1 1/2 pounds fresh spinach, washed and coarsely chopped
 
4 tomatoes, peeled and cut into wedges
 
Nutmeg and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Combine beef, water, salt, potatoes, and onions in slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low about 8 hours.
Add spinach and tomatoes the last 10 minutes of cooking.
Remove meat from soup, cut it into 1 inch cubes, and return it to soup.
Season with nutmeg and pepper.
Add additional salt if desired.
