Spinach Salad With Croutons Recipe

Ingredients

 
Salt
 
1 clove garlic, peeled and cut in half
 
8 cups torn-up fresh spinach
 
Croutons
 
Pepper
 
1/3 to 1/2 cup French dressing

Directions

Sprinkle salad bowl with salt.
Rub the cut sides of the garlic in the salt and all over the bottom and sides of the bowl.
Discard garlic.
Put spinach in bowl.
Add Croutons and some freshly ground pepper and toss lightly.
Add just enough French dressing to lightly coat the spinach, tossing lightly again.
Serve immediately.
Note: Use mixed greens instead of all spinach if preferred.
