Easy Spinach Dal Recipe Video

Ingredients

 
1 tbsp butter
 
1 springs coriander leaves
 
1 springs curry leaves
 
5 clove garlic
 
2 number gr chilli
 
1 pinch hing
 
1/4 tsp jeera
 
1/4 tsp mustard
 
1 tbsp oil
 
1 number onion
 
2 number red chilli whole
 
1 to taste salt
 
1 bag spinach
 
2 large tomato
 
1 cup toor dal (boiled)
 
1 pinch turmeric

Directions

GETTING READY
1. For preparing the spinach dal, firstly pressure cook the dal (any lentil), mash and keep aside.
2. Wash the spinach well cut and keep aside.
MAKING
3. In a pan add little oil, add dry red chillies, mustard seeds, cumin, and garlic, curry leaves, hing (optional), chopped onions and mix. Sauté until the onions are transparent.
4. Add chopped green chillies, turmeric powder and sauté.
5. Add chopped tomatoes and mix well. Add little water and cook.
6. Add salt and cover with a lid. Cook until the tomatoes are soft for about 10 mins.
7. Then add chopped spinach, mashed dal and mix well. Cook well till the foam disappears.
8. Add butter to give that extra zing and flavor.
SERVING
9. Eat hot with puri, chapatti, hot rice or papad.
