Spinach Chicken Sausage Strata Recipe
|Chicken apple sausages||8 Ounce|
|Frozen chopped spinach||10 Ounce, thawed (1 Package Of 10 Ounce)|
|Yellow onion||1 , chopped|
|White bread loaf/Egg bread||1 Small (Day-Old)|
|Shredded mild cheddar cheese||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Shredded monterey jack cheese||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Canned roasted green chiles||7 Ounce, drained (1 Can Of 7 Ounce)|
|Milk||3 Cup (48 tbs)|

Squeeze the spinach dry.
Saute the onion until tender.
Cut the bread into 12 thin slices and trim the crusts.
Arrange half the bread slices, slightly overlapping, in a well greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Toss the cheeses together.
Layer half the cheese mixture, all the green chiles, sausage, spinach, sauteed onion and the remaining cheese mixture.
Add the remaining bread slices over the top.
Whisk the milk and eggs in a medium bowl until smooth.
Pour the egg mixture slowly and evenly over the bread layer.
Press the bread down gently to absorb liquid.
Chill, covered tightly with foil, for 8 to 10 hours.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees on center rack of oven for 1 hour or until center is puffed and golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let stand for 15 minutes .
