Spinach Tart Recipe
This Spinach Tarte is one of my favorite spinach puff pastries. Try this puff pastry stuffed with meat mushrooms topped with spinach. Feel free to express yourself about this Spinach Tarte here.
Ingredients
8 oz (225 g) puff pastry, thawed
1 tbsp (15 ml) oil
1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1/2 Cup (125 ml) mushrooms, sliced
1 garlic clove, chopped
Chopped parsley, to taste
1 tsp (5 ml) butter
8 oz (237 ml) package fresh spinach
Directions
– Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C).
– Line a 10-inch (25 cm) pie plate with half the pastry.
– In a skillet, heat oil and cook meat, then set aside.
– Using the same skillet, cook onions, mushrooms and garlic, add meat, sprinkle with parsley and set aside.
– In a separate skillet, heat 1 tsp (5 ml) oil and gently saute spinach.
– Spoon meat mixture onto puff pastry, cover with a layer of spinach and top mixture with second pastry shell.
– Bake in oven for 20 minutes, then reduce oven heat to 350 °F (175 °C) and bake 15 minutes longer.
