Baked Spinach And Mushroom Supreme Recipe

Ingredients

 
2 packages (12 oz. each) frozen chopped spinach or 1 1/2 pounds fresh spinach, washed and finely chopped
 
Boiling salted water
 
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
 
Salt and pepper to taste
 
Dash of garlic salt
 
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
 
1/4 cup sliced almonds

Directions

Cook frozen or fresh spinach in a small amount of boiling salted water just until tender, about 5 minutes; drain very thoroughly.
Mix in the mushroom soup, salt and pepper to taste, garlic salt, sesame seeds, and half of the sliced nut meats.
Turn into a buttered 1-quart casserole, and sprinkle the remaining nut meats on top.
Bake in a moderate oven (350°) for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and nuts are golden brown.
