Spinach Japanese Style Recipe
Spinach Japanese Style tastes great and is an easy to make recipe. Spinach Japanese Style tastes better with sesame seeds and must be tried at home.
Ingredients
| Very fresh spinach - 1 1/4lb | ||
| Japanese soy sauce - 1/2 cup | ||
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Monosodium glutamate - Pinch | ||
| Katzuobushi - 6 tbsp or | ||
| White sesame seeds | 6 Tablespoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1 Trim the spinach leaves, picking out the small leaves with thin, tender stalks.
2 Wash them thoroughly.
MAKING
3 In a large saucepan of boiling salted water, blanch the spinach for a maximum of 2 minutes.
4 Drain very thoroughly.
5 Allow to cool.
6 Do not squeeze out the moisture.
7 For the sauce: In a saucepan, mix the soy sauce with 3 tbsp water, sugar, and monosodium glutamate, if used.
8 Heat gently, stirring, until the sugar has completely dissolved.
9 Let cool.
SERVING
10 On 4 individual serving plates, arrange the spinach.
11 Moisten with the soy dressing.
12 Sprinkle with Katzuobushi or the sesame seeds and serve.
