Spicy Semolina Upma Recipe
|Semolina||7 Ounce (About 200 Gram Or 2 Cups)|
|Fresh ginger root||1 Small|
|Margarine||1 Ounce (About 25 Gram Or 2 Tablespoon)|
|Split black peas||1⁄2 Ounce, soaked for 4 hours (About 15 Gram Or 1 Tablespoon, Lentils)|
|Mustard||1 Tablespoon (About 15 Milliliter)|
|Hot water||1 Pint (About 1 Liter Or 4.5 Cups)|

Put the semolina in a roasting pan and brown in the oven for 5 minutes.
2 Chop the onions, ginger, chil- lies and mint.
3 Heat the margarine in a pan and fry the black peas, for 1 minute.
Add the onion and spices, herbs and seasoning and fry for 5 minutes, stirring.
4 Pour in the water and bring to the boil.
Add the semolina a little at a time and stir to avoid lumps.
Cook for 10 minutes until the water is almost evaporated.
