Spicy Orange Bologna Roll Recipe
Ingredients
| Packed brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Instant minced onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dry mustard | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cloves | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Tomato sauce | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Orange peel | 1 1/2 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Orange juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Bologna | 1 1/2 Pound |
Directions
In a heavy saucepan, mix the brown sugar, onion, dry mustard, and cloves.
Add the tomato sauce, orange peel and juice, water, and Worcestershire sauce; blend well.
Bring to boiling, stirring until sugar is dissolved; simmer, uncovered, about 15 minutes; stir occasionally.
Meanwhile, score surface of bologna roll by making diagonal cuts to form diamond pattern.
Place bologna in a shallow baking dish and pour the hot sauce over it.
Set in a 350°F oven 45 minutes, or until thoroughly heated, basting occasionally with sauce.
