 Pomfret fish1⁄2 Kilogram, washed and filleted
 Lime juice1 1⁄2 Tablespoon, grated

 Breadcrumbs1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Oil2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Frying)

Directions

1 Mix together all the except the fish, egg, and breadcrumbs. This is the marinade.
2 Make cuts on the fillets and rub the marinade into them and all over the pieces. Keep aside for a couple of hours if possible, otherwise for at least half ah hour. It would be better to keep the fish in the refrigerator during this period.
3 Dip in the beaten egg and then coat evenly with the breadcrumbs.
4 Heat the oil. It should be hot but not smoking. Slip the pieces about 3-4 at a time into the pan and fry till golden brown on both sides. This will take between 8 to 10 minutes. Remove and drain on the brown paper. Serve immediately.
