Spicy Fried Chicken Recipe Video

Ingredients

 
3 lb-Chicken pieces
 
1 large piece(appro 1tsp)-Ginger
 
4 big pods (appro 1 tsp)-Garlic
 
1 tsp-Garam masala
 
1 or 2- green chillies (optional)
 
1/2 tsp-Turmeric
 
To taste-Red chilly powder
 
To taste-Salt
 
A handful-Cilantro
 
2 tbsp-Vinegar or lime juice or plain yogurt
 
2 sprigs-Curry leaves (optional)
 
Oil -For frying

Directions

*Grind ginger, garlic, green chilly, red chilly powder, turmeric, garam masala, cilantro, lime juice and salt. Make a smooth paste out of it.
*Marinate the chicken with this paste . Keep it in the fridge for a minimum of 1 to 4 hours.
*Heat the oil and add the chicken slowly in to the oil. Cover with a lid. Let it cook for 10 minutes for medium heat.
*Flip the chicken. Let it cook for another 10 more minutes. Do not cover.
* Fry the chicken pieces until it is cooked and slightly brown.
*You can add curry leaves just before you take the chicken from the oil.

The Spicy Fried Chicken looks yummy ! This is best had with rice right ? I'd like to try a more healthy version of this dish done by baking with less oil.
