Directions

MAKING
1)In a mixing bowl, sift flour, baking powder, nutmeg, sugar and salt together.
2)Cut in shortening and butter until of fine consistency.
3)Add milk and eggs, beating well.
4)Add currants and knead into stiff dough.
5)Roll dough out on floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
6)Cut with cookie cutter and Bake in electric skillet at 400 degrees until golden and puffy on both sides.
