Spicy Cranberry Ketchup Recipe
Ingredients
2 lbs fresh or frozen cranberries 1 kg
2 lbs apples, cored and quartered 1 kg
4 onions, chopped
2 1/2 cups water 625 mL
1 1/2 cups vinegar 375 mL
3 cups sugar 750 mL
2 tsp salt 10 mL
2 tsp cinnamon 10 mL
1 tsp cloves 5 mL
2 tsp allspice 10 mL
Directions
Simmer cranberries, apples, onions and water together in a covered saucepan until soft.
Whiz in a blender or press through a sieve or food mill.
Add remaining ingredients and cook until thickened.
Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
