Spicy Bean Pot Recipe
The spicy bean pot is a hot and savory bean and beef soup made with ground beef and mixed beans. Prepared along with tomatoes and spiced with chili powder, this spicy bean pot always satiates me when I crave for a spicy dish.
Ingredients
| Bean soup mix | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Choose A Bean Soup Mix) | |
| Ground beef | 1⁄2 Pound | |
| Chili powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Canned tomatoes and green chili peppers | 10 Ounce, cut up (1 Can Of 10 Ounces) | |
| Jalapeno chili pepper flowers | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) |
Directions
Prepare and cook Choose a Bean Soup Mix as directed, except reduce the water to 5 1/2 cups.
Remove the bay leaf.
Meanwhile, in a small skillet cook the ground beef till brown.
Drain off fat.
Stir in the chili powder and cook for 1 minute.
Add the beef mixture to the bean mixture along with undrained tomatoes and green chili peppers.
Heat through, stirring occasionally.
Season to taste with salt.
Ladle the soup into Tortilla Bowls, if desired, or soup bowls.
If desired, garnish each serving with a jalapeno chili pepper flower.
