Spicy Yellow Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
| Onion | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 3/4 cup long-grain rice, uncooked | ||
| 1 3/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons water | ||
| Turmeric | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Hot Sauce | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
Directions
Coat a large non stick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium-high heat until hot.
Add onion, and saute until tender.
Add rice, stirring gently.
Add water and remaining ingredients to rice mix- Iture; bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 22 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
Remove and discard bay leaf.
