Spicy Uncooked Fruit Nut Bars Recipe
Ingredients
| Prunes | 1 Cup (16 tbs), pitted | |
| Dried figs | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Seedless raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Pitted dates | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans, walnuts, or blanched almonds | ||
| Cloves | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Few drops orange juice (just to moisten) | ||
| Sifted confectioners' sugar (for dredging) | ||
Directions
Put fruits and nuts through fine blade of meat grinder, mix in seasonings and just enough orange juice to make mixture hold together.
Roll or pat out 1/4" thick, cut in squares or small circles, and dredge in confectioners' sugar.
If you prefer, roll into small balls and dredge.
