Ingredients

 Prunes1 Cup (16 tbs), pitted
 Dried figs1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Seedless raisins1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Pitted dates1 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans, walnuts, or blanched almonds
 Cloves1/4 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1/4 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Few drops orange juice (just to moisten)
 Sifted confectioners' sugar (for dredging)

Directions

Put fruits and nuts through fine blade of meat grinder, mix in seasonings and just enough orange juice to make mixture hold together.
Roll or pat out 1/4" thick, cut in squares or small circles, and dredge in confectioners' sugar.
If you prefer, roll into small balls and dredge.
