Spicy Turnips Recipe
Spicy Turnips has a fine taste. Spicy Turnips gets its taste from turnips mixed with yoghurt and garam masala. Spicy Turnips is loved by many food lovers.
Ingredients
| About 3 tblspn ghee or concentrated butter | ||
| Turnips | 1 Kilogram, quartered | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), peeled | |
| Green chillies | 2 | |
| 2.5 cm piece root ginger, peeled | ||
| Cumin seeds | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Coriander seeds | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Natural yogurt | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 150 Milliliter | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Garam masala | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Heat the ghee in a pan, add the turnips and fry lightly then set aside.
Put the garlic, chillies, ginger, cumin, coriander and yogurt into a liquidizer or food processor and work to a paste.
Add to the pan and fry for 2 minutes.
Return the turnips to the pan, add the salt and stir well.
Add the water and simmer, covered, for about 10 minutes, until almost tender.
Uncover the pan, add the sugar and garam masala and cook briskly, stirring until most of the liquid has evaporated.
Put the garlic, chillies, ginger, cumin, coriander and yogurt into a liquidizer or food processor and work to a paste.
Add to the pan and fry for 2 minutes.
Return the turnips to the pan, add the salt and stir well.
