Spicy Soy Apple Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
| Soy sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Apple juice concentrate | 1 Can (10oz), frozen | |
| Dry mustard | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cloves | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 3 broiler-fryer chickens quartered | ||
Directions
In small saucepan, combine soy sauce and apple juice concentrate.
In small bowl, combine mustard, ginger, cloves and garlic powder.
Add 1/4 cup of soy-apple liquid to spice mixture; blend thoroughly.
Stir spice mixture into remaining liquid in saucepan and bring to boil over medium heat.
Place chicken in large shallow glass dish.
Pour marinade over chicken; turn to coat with marinade.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight.
Drain chicken; reserve marinade.
Lightly oil grid.
Grill chicken, on covered grill, over medium-hot briquets 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until fork-tender, turning and brushing with marinade every 15 minutes.
