Spicy Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp ginger
Pinch of nutmeg
Directions
In a saucepan, boil milk and sugar.
Add cinnamon.
In a bowl, whip together egg yolk and cornstarch.
Fold in 3 tbsp (45 mL) hot milk.
Stir into saucepan.
Over low heat, cook 2 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Add spices, mixing well.
