Spicy Red Cabbage with Green Grapes Recipe
Ingredients
| Red cabbage | 6 Pound, finely shredded | |
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Red wine vinegar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 6 Tablespoon | |
| 1 lb seedless green grapes, or larger grapes halved and seeded | ||
| Unsalted butter | 8 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Put the cabbage into a very large saucepan, or two saucepans.
Add the water, vinegar, sugar, and seasoning.
Cover the saucepan(s) tightly and cook gently for at least 1 hour until the cabbage is tender.
Add the grapes and continue cooking for a further 5 minutes.
Drain the cabbage well in a large colander.
Melt the butter in the saucepan(s), then return the drained cabbage to the pan(s) and toss well in the hot butter.
Spoon into a hot serving dish and serve hot.
