Spicy Orange Chicken Recipe
Spicy orange chicken is a fruity grilled chicken recipe prepared with a strong hint of catsup. Marinated with spices like cinnamon and garlic for flavoring along with a dash of tabasco pepper sauce the chicken is grill cooked with an occasional brush of the marinade to cook.
Ingredients
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Juice concentrate | 1 Can (10oz), frozen | |
| Catsup | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 teaspoon TABASCO pepper sauce | ||
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 2 (2 1/2- to 3-pound) broiler-fryer chickens, cut up | ||
Directions
In medium bowl combine water, onion, orange concentrate, catsup, garlic, cinnamon, Tabasco sauce and salt; mix well.
Place chicken in large shallow dish or plastic bag; add marinade.
Cover; refrigerate at least 4 to 6 hours; turn chicken occasionally.
Remove chicken from marinade; place on grill 4 to 5 inches from source of heat.
Grill 25 to 30 minutes or until done; turn frequently and brush each time with marinade.
Heat any remaining marinade to a boil and serve with chicken.
