Directions
1. Preheat the oven at 375°.
MAKING
2. Use a vegetable shredder to chop the beets or slice them thinly.
3. In a 4-cup baking dish, mix together sugar, salt, cloves and orange juice.
4. Dot with butter or margarine and cover the dish.
5. Place in the oven for 1 hour or until soft.
SERVING
6. Sprinkle with grated orange peel and serve hot.
