Spicy Hot Fillets Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornmeal | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Chili powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground red pepper | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Paprika | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 1/2 pounds firm-textured fillets | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 tablespoons cooking | ||
Directions
In a shallow dish combine flour, cornmeal, chili powder, red pepper, garlic powder, paprika, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, and 1/8 tea-spoon pepper.
Dip fish into flour mixture.
In a large skillet heat half of the butter or margarine and half of the oil.
Add half of the fish to the skillet in a single layer.
Fry over medium heat till fish is done and coating is golden brown, turning once (allow 3 to 8 minutes total).
Remove fish from skillet and drain on paper towels.
Repeat with remaining butter or margarine, oil, and fish.
