1 4-pound beef brisket

10 whole cloves

Water

2 tablespoons salad oil

1/2 cup chili sauce

1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire

Directions

1. Cut 1 onion into quarters. In 8-quart Dutch oven over high heat, heat brisket, whole cloves, quartered onion, and enough water to cover meat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours, until meat is tender.
2. Prepare glaze: Dice remaining onion. In 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook diced onion until tender, stirring occasionally. Add chili sauce, sugar, Worcestershire, and 1/4 cup water; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
3. When meat is done, preheat oven to 325°F. Place meat in 13" by 9" baking pan; pour glaze over meat. Bake about 15 minutes or until glaze is bubbly and set.
