 1 pound beef top round steak, trimmed of fat

 Beef broth1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Soy sauce1 Tablespoon
 Catsup1 Tablespoon
 Red wine vinegar1 Teaspoon
 Sugar1/2 Teaspoon
 Cooking oil2 Tablespoon
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), minced
 3/4 pound fresh asparagus, cut into 1-inch lengths, or one 10-ounce package frozen cut asparagus, thawed
 1 cup sliced cauliflower flowerets
 1 small sweet red or green pepper, cut into narrow strips
 1 small onion, cut into thin wedges

Directions

Partially freeze beef; thinly slice the meat across grain into strips.
Combine cornstarch, water, sherry, salt, pepper, and hot pepper sauce.
Add meat, mixing well.
Combine beef broth, soy sauce, catsup, vinegar, and sugar; set aside, Preheat wok or large skillet over high heat.

Add the red or green pepper and onion; stir-fry about 2 minutes more or till asparagus is crisp-tender.
Return meat to skillet.
Stir in soy sauce mixture.
Cook and stirtill bubbly.
Cover and cook l minute more,
